Open Your Eyes is a guitar trio composed to highlight the elegance of simplicity. In a world where we constantly seek more, often driven by a sense of dissatisfaction, this piece serves as a gentle reminder to pause and appreciate what already surrounds us. It’s an invitation to figuratively open your eyes, which means to notice the small details we so often overlook. Ch’ien: The Creative
Ch’ien: The Creative is difficult to sum up in just a few sentences. This album is a diverse collection of pieces ranging from acapella and spoken word to singer-songwriter and experimental works, and more. At its core, Ch’ien: The Creative seeks to embody the spirit of the first hexagram of the I Ching, 乾 (romanized as Ch’ien), which translates to “The Creative.” This hexagram represents the primal force of creation: pure Yang energy that brings something into existence from nothing. That concept is the foundation of this album, which embraces a wide spectrum of ideas and approaches to composition, reflecting the boundless energy that sparks creativity.
My Universe
My Universe is an album that invites listeners into my personal world of music. As my debut release, it holds a special place in my journey as an artist. The album was created as a safe, welcoming space, one where creativity can flourish without fear of judgment. It also represents a personal milestone: breaking free from perfectionism and the endless loop of self-critique that often hinders artistic expression. My Universe features some of my earliest compositions, capturing the raw spirit of beginning and the joy of simply creating.
