The Moment You Gave Me

2026-08-12

It was a glance at your eyes.
The sparks were like fireflies at night,
lighting up what seemed a bit dark,
because your pupil is like the moon.
It still looks at me everytime I go to bed.

The tears that rolled down my face,
when I craved to see myself.
The shattered parts that I had glued together
were suddenly so evident,
because of the imperfect reflection from the mirror.

The tingles that went down my spine,
falling from my neck to my back.
Snowballing a growing sensation.
All thanks to my own foolishness,
to decide your voice was worth listening to.

Still, I thank you for the moment you gave me
Together, I’m who I was going to be all along.
